My name is Mark Martinez. I am a seasoned graphic designer and photographer with over eight years of experience. Based in Rotan, Texas, I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Angelo State University (BFA ASU '15). My professional journey includes contract work with the Double Mountain Chronicle Newspaper and Luminance Studios, operating out of Rotan and Lubbock, Texas.
As a design editor and photojournalist for the Double Mountain Chronicle since 2019, I've been instrumental in crafting compelling visual content and coordinating with the editorial team. At Luminance Studios, where I've worked since 2022, I bring my creativity to life through graphic design and photography, contributing to both client projects and the studio's media platforms.
Beyond my contract roles, I also operate independently as a freelancer, where I specialize in graphic design projects and photography assignments. My work has earned recognition, including 1st Place awards from the Texas Press Association for Sports Photography (2020-2021) and Feature Photography (2022-2023).
I am proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign, and Premiere, and I continually strive to expand my skills and creative horizons. Whether designing for print or digital media, or capturing striking photographs, I am passionate about creating high-quality visual experiences.
